aiME Desktop privacy.

Privacy for aiME Desktop: local content, installation and licensing records, Paddle payments, hosting and your choices.

Last updated: October 28, 2026 · Coticsy LLC, Florida, USA

Your local terms-acceptance record

The desktop app stores a record of your agreement on your computer, including the policy version and document hashes, acceptance time, app version, installation identifier and, in multi-user mode, your local user identifier. It keeps policy copies available offline. This record is used to remember and document acceptance; it is separate from optional marketing consent and is not automatically uploaded to Coticsy's licensing service. Someone with access to your computer or its backups may be able to access the record. Uninstalling the app does not necessarily remove its saved data.

1. Desktop scope and contact

This notice explains how Coticsy LLC, Florida, USA handles information for aiME Desktop on Mac and Windows. Contact sales@coticsy.com for desktop privacy questions or requests.

aiME Mobile and our other products have separate notices on the Coticsy Privacy Policy page. This desktop notice does not change their practices or notices.

2. Chats and documents

With local models and local storage selected, your chats, imported documents, search indexes and downloaded model files are processed or stored on your computer. Our licensing service does not receive your chat or document contents. We do not use content from your local chats or documents to train our own AI models.

Local files may also be included in backups or sync services that you configure on your computer. You control those services. If you enable external AI providers, transcription, speech services or data connectors, the separate data flows below apply.

3. Installation, trials and licenses

When connected to our licensing service, the app sends a persistent computer identifier and installation details: operating system and version, architecture, CPU model and core count, RAM amount, app version, language/locale and time zone. The identifier is derived from machine information rather than a person's name. It is not necessarily anonymous, because it can be linked to your trial or purchase.

We keep installation, last-seen and launch records, trial dates and consent choices, and license identifiers, activation dates, plan and expiry information. A trial requires an email address; activation and purchase records can also include the licensed email address.

We use this information to deliver and recover licenses, apply trial limits, synchronize paid access and renewals, prevent abuse and investigate technical or payment problems. These licensing records are separate from your chat and document content. You do not need a Coticsy web account for the desktop app, but trial activation, payment, key delivery and billing management require an internet connection. A saved valid key can be verified offline.

4. Purchases through Paddle

Paddle handles checkout as our authorized reseller and merchant of record, including payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, receipts and payment-related support. Its Privacy Policy explains how it handles checkout and buyer information.

We receive information needed to fulfill and support the purchase, such as the buyer email, Paddle customer, transaction and subscription identifiers, purchased price/plan, payment status, paid period and adjustment or refund information. Checkout includes the computer identifier so delivery can be matched to the app; an authorized lifetime upgrade also includes a temporary checkout reference.

We do not receive or store your full payment-card number in our licensing service. Paddle may collect billing, payment-method and other information directly under its own notice.

5. Optional providers, downloads and support

Model downloads and updates contact their hosting services, which may receive network information such as your IP address. If you choose an external AI, embedding, speech or transcription provider, the requests needed for that feature may send prompts, document context, audio or other selected content to that provider. Data connectors contact the accounts or websites you select and use the permissions or credentials you supply. Review the provider and configuration before sending confidential information.

If you contact support, we receive the message and any logs, files or other information you choose to send. Share only what is needed for the issue. Separate marketing choices, where offered, do not change the information needed to provide licensing and purchase support.

Website visits and checkout are distinct from local desktop use. The Coticsy Cookie Policy describes website cookies and analytics; Paddle's notice describes its checkout technologies. The normal desktop configuration disables optional usage analytics; this does not disable the licensing communications described above.

6. Hosting, sharing and international processing

We use Amazon Web Services to operate the licensing backend and store licensing and fulfillment records. The current licensing backend is hosted in the Mumbai, India AWS region. Paddle and providers you select may process information in other countries under their own arrangements.

We share information with service providers as needed to operate these functions, with advisers or authorities where necessary to meet legal obligations or address disputes, and in a business transfer subject to applicable data-protection requirements. We do not sell desktop personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Where international-transfer requirements apply, the processing must use the applicable legal arrangements and safeguards. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data.

7. Purposes, retention and security

Where a legal basis is required, we process information as needed to provide the license and support you request, meet legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests in security, reliable service and preventing trial or payment abuse. We rely on consent for optional marketing where consent is required; you can withdraw that consent without canceling necessary license communications.

We retain records for as long as reasonably needed for their purpose, including the duration of an active or lifetime entitlement, recovery and renewal support, trial-abuse prevention, payment reconciliation, legal recordkeeping and disputes. The appropriate period depends on the record and applicable obligations. We review deletion requests against those needs; uninstalling does not automatically delete backend or Paddle records.

We use safeguards such as encrypted connections, access controls and managed hosting security. No system is completely secure. Keep license keys, connected-account credentials and your local computer protected.

8. Your choices and rights

You can remove local chats and documents using the app, disconnect optional providers and connectors, and remove the app and its local data from your computer. Removing the app does not cancel annual billing; use Manage billing or contact Paddle for that.

Depending on where you live and the applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your personal information, restriction of processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw optional consent and raise a complaint with the relevant data-protection authority. These rights may have legal exceptions.

Send requests to sales@coticsy.com with "aiME Desktop privacy" in the subject. We may need to verify ownership before disclosing or changing records, and will respond within applicable legal time limits. For information Paddle controls independently, you can also contact Paddle directly.

The desktop product is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information. We will update this notice when practices change and provide any notice or choices required by law.
